Ulster travel to the English Premiership leaders on the back off a one-point victory when Les Kiss’s side had to come back from a 23 point half time deficit.

“We gave ourselves a very high mountain to climb, it wasn’t where we wanted to be in the first half, as a team we let ourselves down and we gave them a lot of easy points and fair play they took them and played well,” said Marshall.

“We played well in the second half and even at 23-0 down the belief was still there that we could do a job, we’re happy to take the win and now move on to the challenge of Saturday.

“There were chances in the second half when we could have got a fourth try but at half time if you had of told us we’d get the win we’d have definitely taken it, we were just happy to get out of jail and get the win.”

Saracens have won 12 out of their 13 matches this season including all four in the Champions Cup.

“It’s definitely going to be a big challenge and their record this year is pretty impressive.

“They have only lost once and that was last week but these are the big games as a player you want to be involved in and be tested and there is no better place to be tested than over there.

“We are confident in ourselves that we can provide a good challenge for them.”

Saracens have picked up three bonus point wins including when the sides met at the Kingspan Stadium.

“We looked at the first game and how close it was after the first 60 minutes. It was 12-9 with about 20 minutes to go and we didn’t play as well as we could that night.

“If we hadn’t lost our patience at certain times and things had gone our way the result could have been didn’t, now we have to go over there and get the win.

Ulster know what Saracens will throw at them - stopping it will be the problem.

“Maybe being a bit harsh but they are reasonably predictable team but that doesn’t matter they are incredibly effective.

“They have lost once this season and a lot of their games they are winning by big margins and scoring a lot of tries, they are the top try scorers in the Premiership this year.

“People say they are negative and don’t play attractive rugby but when they score that many tries it arguable.

“We have to match their physicality. They have a really physical edge up front and in the backs and that is the first thing you have to match.

“Then it is about playing to your own game style and just keeping patience, a lot of teams get undone because they lose patience and they get frustrated with how Saracens are able to shut them down.

“For us it’s about keeping or patience and playing the way we want to play.”

The midfield battle could be one of the keys to the game.

“They have (Brad) Barrett and (Duncan) Taylor and (Marcelo) Bosch can come in at 13, they will have a reasonably physical partnership no matter who they pick.”

“Barrett is a very good defender, they won’t play to expansively but what they do is effective and they work hard for each other as a team, they pride themselves on being the wolf pack and it works well for them.”

“Stuart (McCloskey) and myself the more we play together the more we build up an understanding and partnership and we are starting to develop a pretty good one at the minute.”

“I enjoy playing with him, he takes away a lot of attention from my channel with the way he carries ball and that gives me a bit more space.”

After losing their opening game Ulster have got themselves into a position to qualify for the quarter finals.

“Everyone seemed to write us off which was understandable losing by that much at home then facing Toulouse home and away so to be in the position we’re in now we are pretty pleased that we have turned it around but we know the job is not done yet.”

“We’re going over to Saracens to win and we’re going in full strength and looking to do a job on those guys, we have to go in all guns blazing and try and match them.”
