New deals confirmed for four more Ulster stars

Exciting young scrum half Nathan Doak has signed his first professional contract with Ulster.

Doak was instrumental in leading Wallace to the School’s Cup final but the Lisburn School shared the trophy with Royal School Armagh after the decider was postponed due to Covid-19. He has impressed anytime he featured for the Ulster A team and was rewarded with a senior debut in the Pro14 win over Munster at the start of January.

Doak will spend one year as a development player before being upgraded to a senior professional contract in 2022.

“I am delighted to have signed a new contract with Ulster Rugby to extend my time with the club for a further two years,” said Doak.

“I am looking forward to working with the senior team full-time and to develop further as a player, it is an exciting time for the province as we are building on our ambitions to win silverware, and I hope I can be a part of that moving forward.”

Hooker John Andrew has seized his opportunity this season when Rob Herring has been away on international duty. He has made six starts scoring four tries.

Andrew’s new deal with keep him at Kingspan Stadium to 2023.

Loose prop Andy Warwick has also extent his stay at Kingspan Stadium to 2023 also. The front rower has already racked up 128 appearances in the white shirt since making his debut in March in 2014.

Lock Kieran Treadwell capped three times by Ireland Treadwell has also pledged his future to Ulster for another two years.
