Garth Brooks Belfast 2027: American country had been 'dreaming' of another Irish tour
American country superstar Garth Brooks has announced he will play Belfast next year - and that he has been "dreaming" of another Irish tour "for a long time".
The record breaking singer has announced a 10-date tour across the island of Ireland next year.

He will begin the tour at Boucher Road in Belfast on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 May.
Speaking about the new 2027 tour, Brooks said: “This has been a dream of mine since the first time we played Ireland. Once you get a taste of how the Irish love music, you can’t play there enough!”
The artist has had a tumultuous history with performing in Ireland.
He was due to play five concerts in 2014 but the gigs were cancelled following a licensing dispute with locals around the venue and the local authorities.
Dublin City Council said at the time that it would only grant licences for three of concerts in Dublin but the singer refused to perform unless all five went ahead.
Brooks last performed in Ireland in September 2022, when he played five concerts at Dublin's Croke Park.
The shows attracted more than 400,000 ticket sales, making his return one of the biggest live music events in the country's recent history.
Those concerts also marked his first Irish performances in 25 years, his previous appearance at Croke Park took place in 1997.
Brooks is known as the biggest selling artist in US history and the first and only artist to pass 200 million albums sold.
He is also the first and only artist to receive ten RIAA Diamond Awards for ten albums certified at over 10 million.
According to the RIAA, Double Live is the biggest selling live album and the top-selling country album in the US Double Live, No Fences, Ropin’ the Wind, and Triple Live are four of the top five best-selling country albums of all time. He also has 20 Billboard #1 singles to his credit and was the first artist to garner top-5 singles at country radio in five consecutive decades--the ‘80s, ‘90s, ‘00s, ‘10s and ‘20s.
