Kiefer Sutherland announces Northern Ireland gig - 'Lost Boys' and '24' star to bring country-styled tunes to Belfast Empire
Actor Kiefer Sutherland is to bring his country-styled music to Northern Ireland, with a gig in Belfast this May.
The ‘Lost Boys’ and ‘24’ star has enjoyed success in a second career as a singer-songwriter over the last decade, racking up two UK Top 20 albums as well as a hit on the US country chart.

Unveiling a gravelly, rough-hewn voice, his music runs from hard-bitten acoustic tales of whiskey-sodden heartbreak to upbeat country-rockers with a full band.
The 59-year-old’s career has taken him from his start as one of the wave of young 1980s actors nicknamed the Brat Pack, with Surtherland starring in some of the era’s biggest movies such as ‘Stand By Me’ and ‘Young Guns’.

He’s still best remembered for his long-running role as Jack Bauer in the action thriller TV show ‘24’, which hit screens from 2001 to 2010 as well as spawning a spin-off TV movie and a 2014 miniseries.
In 2003 he co-founded an independent record label, Ironworks, which specialises in singer-songwriter and country-rock acts. In 2016 he released his own music for the first time, issuing debut album ‘Down In A Hole’ which led to a single making the US country charts and Sutherland performing at that year’s Academy of Country Music Awards.
It was followed by 2019’s ‘Reckless And Me’ and, in 2022, third album ‘Bloor Street’ – both of which were Top 20 hits in the UK.
His “Love Will Bring You Home” tour swings into Belfast’s Empire Music Hall on May 20, with tickets on sale this Friday at 9am.
