Educational workshops, Belfast Zoo, February 15 and 22 Belfast Zoo is taking part in the Northern Ireland Science Festival. The extinction workshops are aimed at providing a hands on educational learning experience in the unique setting of Belfast Zoo. For the small price of £25 per ticket, participants will be able to take part in one of the ‘ele-phantastic’ workshops and learn about the extinction threats facing elephants, the conservation efforts of zoos and an insight into how Belfast Zoo care for their elephants, Yhetto and Dhunja. The workshop will have a mixture of hands on experiences, unique learning and educational talks from the zoo’s zookeepers, curators and veterinary experts. Participants will also have the chance to see some behind the scenes areas of the zoo.
