Exhibitions, Ards Arts Centre, until March 25 Two new exhibitions open at Ards Arts Centre in Newtownards - Under the Phoenix Eye, an exhibition by Raquel Amat Parra, and All Daughters an exhibition by Sharon Canning. Under the Phoenix Eye is a product of a residence program that Raquel Amat Parra undertook at Guanlan Original Printmaking Base in China during summer 2019. All Daughters is a collection of abstract paintings in response to the young women who have found support and refuge by the Hope and Light charity. Working closely with ‘Hope and Light Jewellery’, each painting will be accompanied with a piece of jewellery made by the individual and a small extract from their story. Admission is free during gallery opening hours.

Conflict Textiles, Roe Valley Arts Centre, March 7 A dance performance is set to mark the official opening of a very special exhibition at Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre in Limavady. ‘Embracing Human Rights: Conflict Textiles’ Journey’ exhibition invites you to explore human rights through the tactile medium of textiles. The official launch of the exhibition takes place on Saturday March 7 at 2pm with a performance from The Body Wisdom Group of Echo Echo Dance Theatre Company.
