DNA and Family History
The North of Ireland Family History Society (NIFHS) is a strong advocate of DNA testing to enhance the study of family history across Ulster. They are very pleased to be hosting four guests from FamilyTreeDNA for a series of talks about DNA at the Public Records Office.
FamilyTreeDNA is one of the major testing companies and the only one to provide Y and Mitochondrial testing for genealogical research. Their home is in Houston, Texas so this is a unique opportunity to meet them and hear about DNA research and innovations.

Everyone is invited to this free event on Tuesday 27th October from 11am. There is no need to register.
A full programme is available on the NIFHS website at https://www.nifhs.org/events/familytreedna-live-in-belfast/
Hear research stories, discover what DNA can reveal and get a glimpse of some DNA innovations currently underway.
DNA kits at special prices will also be available, along with lots of advice.
