The award recognises a British Gymnastics affiliated individual who has given their time to help create an uplifting gymnastics experience for all.

This could be in their club or at events or a combination. British Gymnastics are looking for nominations that showcase the volunteer’s commitment and passion for gymnastics and that role model the values of the sport.

The British Gymnastics Awards recognise exceptional people and organisations that help keep gymnastics enjoyable, safe and open to everyone, making a positive contribution to individuals, local communities and wider society.

And recognise British Gymnastics affiliated clubs that have not only excelled in promoting and developing gymnastics but have also made an outstanding contribution to their community, demonstrating a commitment to the long-term impact of the sport and delivering an uplifting experience for all.

Jane said: “To be named a finalist for Volunteer of the Year means so much. Volunteering is about giving back to the sport that benefited both of my children so much.

“It is about helping to create those opportunities for others. Seeing the difference it makes is the real reward. Hearing I was a finalist left me speechless — it feels like a recognition of our whole club.”

From trailblazers and role models to those who tirelessly go above and beyond, the British Gymnastic Awards shine a spotlight on exceptional people and organisations that help keep gymnastics enjoyable, safe and open to everyone.

The awards will focus on those who have demonstrated a commitment to delivering an uplifting gymnastics experience for all and living our values for the sport of inclusive, aspirational and supportive.

This year, the awards will also celebrate British Gymnastics Foundation’s awards, recognising those who are transforming lives through gymnastics.

Sarah Powell, British Gymnastics CEO, said: “This year, we are delighted to recognise another outstanding group of nominees for the 2026 British Gymnastics Awards, reflecting the extraordinary individuals and organisations that continue to shape our sport. The nominations showcase the dedication and passion that help ensure gymnastics remains enjoyable, safe and accessible for everyone, creating meaningful and lasting positive impacts for individuals, local communities and wider society.

A strong theme throughout this year’s awards is the celebration of those who consistently go above and beyond to deliver inspiring gymnastics experiences, bringing to life our core values of being inclusive, supportive and aspirational.

To all our finalists, congratulations on this well-deserved recognition. Your commitment and contributions make a real difference, and you should be extremely proud of the impact you have on our sport.”

The winners of the various categories will be announced to the public in early February.
