Ulster-Scots Horror Series Bogle Cove Announced for BBC NI and BBC iPlayer

Something really exciting is coming to screen in Northern Ireland.

Northern Visions and Clean Slate have been commissioned to produce Bogle Cove — a brand new series of four Ulster-Scots horror shorts for BBC NI and BBC iPlayer.

Set in a small Ulster-Scots village where folklore, fear and the uncanny seep into everyday life, Bogle Cove will bring bold, cinematic horror storytelling together with Ulster-Scots language and culture in a way we haven’t really seen before.

But this project is about more than just what ends up on screen.

The production is actively creating opportunities for new and emerging talent across cast and crew, with a real focus on authenticity, development and opening doors for people from the Ulster-Scots community who want to take the next step in film and television.

If you’re an actor, filmmaker, creative, production runner, makeup artist, camera assistant, writer or someone looking to gain experience on a BBC-backed production — this is worth paying attention to.
