Cinemagic’s ‘On The Pulse Festival’ offers a window to the world
The third Cinemagic ‘On the Pulse’ short film festival presents a digital edition running until March 31.
The festival, celebrating the short film genre, is funded by the Department for Communities through Northern Ireland Screen, and presents an online programme of unmissable films for children, families, schools, young adults and young filmmakers, as well as a film surgery and a masterclass and Q&A series for aspiring film, television and media creators.
The film programme offers a cinematic window to the world presenting a diverse range of storytelling, celebrating universal stories of youth and youth perspectives.
The Cinemagic selection of short films is multi-genre including documentary, drama, comedy, horror and animation.
There are themes of inclusivity, the world today, young protagonists overcoming challenges, and stories of celebration and heart-warming tales. There is also a collection of the winning and highly commended films from the 2020 Cinemagic Young Filmmaker Competition, showcasing talent from the UK and Ireland.
