Ann’s Care Homes acquires seven Northern Ireland nursing homes, securing the jobs of 560 staff and care of 320 residents

Northern Ireland family owned healthcare operator, Ann’s Care Homes (Ann’s), has announced the acquisition of seven nursing homes from Larchwood Care (NI) Limited (Larchwood).

The purchase secures the jobs of 560 staff and care of 320 residents across the seven homes. Ann’s currently own and operate 16 nursing homes across Northern Ireland.

The Larchwood Care nursing homes that have been purchased are Apple Blossom Lodge Care Centre in Armagh, Culmore Manor Care Centre in Derry-Londonderry, Glebe Care Centre and Dunanney Care Centre in Belfast, Melmount Manor Care Centre in Strabane and Kingsland Care Centre in Bangor.

There will be no changes to the existing care arrangements in staffing or the team directly involved with the nursing homes, so people in the homes receiving residential and nursing care and their families can be assured of continuity of care.

Ann’s Home Care was established as a Domiciliary care agency in 1994. Run by the McQuade family the company has grown to become the largest healthcare provider in Northern Ireland with over 3,000 staff across its care home, home care and nursing agency divisions.
