Michele Janes Head of Barnardo’s NI said: “We are so excited to be able to open our shops again on Friday and to welcome back customers old and new. Thank you to everyone who has kept hold of their donations for many months, we are delighted to be able to accept them again.

“The first few weeks of Barnardo’s charity shops reopening in England has been a huge success and we are really hoping for similar support here in Northern Ireland. With the influx of donations we are expecting, I am sure there are going to be lots of treasures to be found and bargains to be purchased!

”Our priority is to keep our customers, volunteers and staff safe, so please wear a mask and use sanitiser when you are visiting one of our shops.”

Although the Barnardo’s NI shops are not open for business until Friday 30, you will be able to drop off your donations at your local shop from Monday, April 26. The charity is asking visitors to bring their donations to the shops during opening hours and not to leave them at the door. They particularly need Spring/Summer stock.

The charity has received lots of new stock from online retailers during lockdown and so there are plenty of bargains to be found. They will also be reopening from Friday with a fantastic 50% sale on all Autumn/Winter Stock.
