GymCo, which has locations in Cityside and Finaghy, will offer 20 free online classes, suitable for all fitness levels, from Monday, November 30.

Classes will run Monday to Friday during the two-week lockdown on the gym’s social media channels, with a morning class at 7am and evening class at 6pm, giving people the opportunity to take part live or do in their own time.

There will be a mix of classes including HIIT, Full Body Weight Workout, Mobility, Kettlebell Workout, Blast and Conditioning.

David Conlon, co-owner of GymCo said: “Since reopening our doors in July, we’ve noticed an increase in the number of weekly visits a lot of our members are making to the gym.

“In recent months, so many more people have realised the important role that regular exercise plays in our physical and mental wellbeing - and indeed a lot of people are reliant on it.

“Research has shown a clear link between low physical fitness and the risk of experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, or both.

“Exercise provides a wealth of benefits – it’s an outlet for people to release their stress and worry, it boosts your mood and improves your sleep and with the gyms now closed for two weeks, we want to play our part in helping people look after their health and wellbeing.

“Our highly experienced fitness instructors have created a programme of free online classes, suitable for all fitness levels, to encourage people to keep active and motivated during this challenging time. No membership is required, simply visit our social media channels or website for the timetable and get moving.”

He added: “At GymCo we are more than just a gym, GymCo is an experience. We strive for excellence and pride ourselves on delivering a first class service for our members. We do things differently.”

The 20 free online classes will be suitable for all fitness levels.
