Over 20,000 Italians read all about Northern Ireland

The May edition of Bell’Europa, a glossy travel magazine, includes a 64-page supplement dedicated entirely to the local area.

Tourism Ireland in Milan teamed up with Bell’Europa to produce the special supplement, which features stunning images and articles about Belfast, the Causeway Coast, the Ulster Way, Sligo, the Burren, the Aran Islands, the Dingle Peninsula and Dublin.

Publicity like this is a key element of Tourism Ireland’s programme of increasing the business and tourism activity. It aims to keep the local area in the minds of future travellers around the world in order to capitalise on the demand for travel and improve the local economy once open again for overseas visitors.

Ornella Gamacchio, Tourism Ireland’s Italy manager, said: “We are delighted with the excellent coverage in this month’s edition of Bell’Europa magazine. This special supplement, dedicated to the island of Ireland, will be read by over 20,000 Italians – so it’s a great way of keeping Northern Ireland and the island of Ireland to the fore in Italy. We look forward to welcoming Italian visitors, as soon as the time is right.”
