Christopher McCandless, chief executive at Millar McCall Wylie, said the appointments reflected the firm’s focus on developing its next generation of legal talent.

“Aimee and Michael are both fantastic lawyers with massive amounts of potential, and we are delighted to see them joining us on a full-time basis following a successful traineeship,” he said.

“Our aim is to help lawyers find the right area of specialism for them so they can build a career that is rewarding and challenging for their individual skillsets.

“Both Aimee and Michael had the opportunity to experience different aspects of law during their training with us, and they were both extremely impressive from an early stage.

“We congratulate them both on their qualification and look forward to supporting them as their professional journeys develop over the years ahead.”

The firm said its trainee programme gives aspiring solicitors the opportunity to gain experience across different areas of law before choosing a specialist career path.
