Four Northern Ireland pubs have been named finalists in the 2026 PubAid Community Pub Hero Awards.
Coleraine’s Patsy’s Bar is the sole Northern Ireland finalist in the Community Fundraising Hero category, competing against seven other pubs and bars from across the UK.
Northern Ireland has further representation with Teddy’s of Bangor only local pub shortlisted for Community Sport Hero award, while Lily’s Kitchen & Bar in County Antrim and Bullhouse East in Belfast are both finalists in the Community Support Hero category.

The awards celebrate the positive impact pubs have on their local communities, recognising fundraising, volunteering and other community initiatives.
For Patsy’s Bar, the nomination recognises the role its team and customers continue to play in supporting the Coleraine community.
In a social media post, the team said: “On behalf of everyone here at Patsy's Bar, Coleraine we are extremely proud to let you all know that we have been announced as a finalist for the PubAid Community Pub Hero Awards 2026, in association with Diageo and supported by the All-Party Parliamentary Beer Group!

“We have been shortlisted for the Community Fundraising Hero category as Northern Ireland’s sole finalist along with seven other pubs/bars from across the UK!
“We are very grateful to be recognised for the role that our wee bar plays within the local community, however this could never have been achieved without the unwavering support we receive from our amazing customers - we told you before you were the best in the world and we meant it! This nomination is just as much yours as it is ours!”
All finalists will attend a special drinks reception at the House of Commons on Tuesday, September 8, where the winners will be announced.
The event will bring together finalists, MPs and representatives from across the pub and hospitality sector, highlighting the positive contribution pubs make to communities throughout the UK.

Patsy’s Bar said its customers had played a central role in its success, adding: “The last thing we would like to say is a massive thank you to each and every single one of you! You made this happen because no matter what we ask of you, you always deliver! Next stop.. the House of Commons.”
Lily’s Kitchen & Bar also posted on social media: “Absolutely delighted to be shortlisted for the 2026 Community Pub Hero Awards! A huge thank you to PubAid for the recognition and to our amazing team and community for all your support. House of Commons here we come!”
