Northern Ireland contractor appointed to the Port of Dover's new project contractor framework
The appointments build on McLaughlin & Harvey’s delivery of the £53m Dover Western Docks Revival project, with the new framework opening up opportunities for marine infrastructure and building works through to 2032
County Antrim-headquartered construction firm McLaughlin & Harvey has secured two places on a new contractor framework at the Port of Dover, opening up opportunities to deliver future marine infrastructure and building improvement projects through to 2032.

The construction and civil engineering firm has been appointed to Lot 2, covering berths and marine works, while its McLaughlin & Harvey WorkSpace division has secured a place on Lot 4, covering building fabric and services.
The framework runs until May 2032 and will support the port’s long-term development plans under its 2050 Masterplan.
The appointments build on McLaughlin & Harvey’s involvement in the port’s £53m Dover Western Docks Revival project, which it completed in partnership with Boskalis Westminster.
The scheme created 10 hectares of new port land through dredging and reclamation, alongside new roads, utilities and supporting infrastructure.
Seamus Devlin, managing director at McLaughlin & Harvey, said: “Following on from the successful completion of our Dover Western Docks Revival project for the Port of Dover, we are pleased to announce that we have secured a place on the port’s ‘Project Contractor Framework’ within Lot 2 – Berths & Marine.
“We look forward to collaborating with the Port on its future marine developments.”
The framework appointments provide a route for the port to engage the company and its WorkSpace division on future infrastructure upgrades as it progresses its long-term investment plans.
The announcement comes ahead of the British Ports Association Conference 2026, which is being held at the Port of Dover on October 21 and 22.
McLaughlin & Harvey will return as a Gold Sponsor at the event, which brings together representatives from across the UK ports and maritime sector.
For the first time, the company will also bring its YouMatter Wellbeing Bus to the conference, offering delegates complimentary health checks with qualified healthcare practitioners and relaxing massages.
