'Set to open in spring 2027': Northern Ireland family-run hotel marks 50 years with £1.5m investment in new wedding venue

Killyhevlin Lakeside Hotel & Lodges unveils plans for luxury lakeside reception space overlooking Lough Erne, set to open in spring 2027

Killyhevlin Lakeside Hotel & Lodges has announced a £1.5m investment in Loughview, a new luxury wedding reception venue set to open in spring 2027.

The development represents a significant investment in the family-owned hotel's wedding offering, creating a dedicated arrival and drinks reception space where couples can welcome guests against the backdrop of Lough Erne.

Designed in partnership with interior design firm Douglas Wallace, Loughview will combine contemporary architecture with its lakeland setting. The new venue will feature full-height structural glazing, a glazed roof lantern, a bespoke cocktail bar and landscaped outdoor gardens, providing a setting for wedding photography and celebrations.

Located alongside the hotel's flagship Lisgoole Suite, Loughview will create a seamless transition from the arrival reception to the wedding meal and evening entertainment.

With civil ceremony facilities, including a lakeview terrace, the hotel will also enable couples to celebrate every stage of their wedding day in one location.

The investment reflects Killyhevlin's continued commitment to developing its facilities and strengthening its wedding offering.

“Fermanagh is a beautiful place to get married, and our location on the shores of Lough Erne is at the heart of what makes celebrations here so special. Loughview has been designed to make the most of that setting, giving couples a luxurious and welcoming space to gather with family and friends, raise a glass and begin their celebrations.

“As a hotel with more than 50 years of family ownership, this investment reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation, quality and creating exceptional experiences for every couple who chooses Killyhevlin for their wedding day.”
