Sweet success for Past Tense Treats

Past Tense Treats of Warrenpoint has become one of only 878 entrants to be awarded a 2-star Great Taste award for its delicious Salted Caramel Chocolate Brownie at this year's Great Taste Awards 2016.

“This win is a significant first for Past Tense Treats, as we have only recently launched our products,” explains Managing Director of Past Tense Treats, Jackie Reid who also owns successful sandwich manufacturing company Deli Lites Ireland with husband Brian Reid.

Judged by over 500 of the most demanding palates, belonging to food critics, chefs, cooks, restaurateurs and producers as well as a whole host of food writers and journalists, Great Taste is widely acknowledged as the most respected food accreditation scheme for artisan and speciality food producers.

The panel of judges, deemed Past Tense Treat’s Salted Caramel Chocolate Brownie an “attractive-looking, well-balanced, salty-sweet brownie with a wonderfully gooey centre and a chocolatey bouquet”.
