Amici Ristorante Portstewart launches new Terrazza outdoor dining experience offering Italian small plates, pizza and sea views with no booking required

One of the north coast’s best-loved restaurants has unveiled a new outdoor dining experience, giving customers the chance to enjoy Italian food with sea views this summer.

Amici Ristorante Portstewart has opened its new Terrazza beside the Old Golf Course, offering a dog-friendly outdoor space overlooking the water.

The popular Italian restaurant, which celebrated 12 years in business last month, has become a firm favourite with locals and visitors thanks to its authentic Italian dishes, wood-fired pizzas and scenic coastal setting.

The new outdoor eatery had been due to open earlier in the year but was delayed as the team prepared the space for the summer season.

Announcing the launch online, the Amici Ristorante team said: “Our Terrazza is open! The wait is over – our Terrazza is officially open for the summer!

“Firstly, we'd like to apologise for the delayed opening this season and thank you for your patience while we got everything ready.”

The Terrazza will operate from Friday to Sunday, between 1pm and 8pm, with guests able to enjoy an outdoor menu featuring Italian small plates, pizza, pasta, sharing boards and more.

The restaurant confirmed that bookings are not required, with the new space operating on a walk-in basis only.

The area is also dog friendly, allowing customers to enjoy the coastal dining experience with their four-legged companions.

The Terrazza menu will operate separately from the main restaurant offering and will not include a children’s menu.

The team added: “Opening hours may vary depending on the weather. We can't wait to welcome you back for another summer of great food and hopefully sunshine!”

The post has received many good wishes, with customers expressing excitement about trying out the new dining experience.
