'Save the date': Countdown begins as opening date set for Iceland's newest Northern Ireland Food Warehouse
Retailer will open its new Bangor store in September, creating jobs and bringing its larger-format shopping experience to Lesley Bloomfield Shopping Centre
Iceland Foods is set to expand its presence in Northern Ireland with the opening of a new The Food Warehouse store in Bangor.
The retailer has confirmed the new outlet will open its doors at the Lesley Bloomfield Shopping Centre on September 8, bringing an expanded product range and creating new jobs in the local area.
The shopping centre announced the opening on social media, encouraging shoppers to ‘save the date’ ahead of the launch.
The new store will trade under Iceland's The Food Warehouse format, which was introduced in 2014 to offer customers a larger shopping experience with a wider range of products.
Typically around twice the size of a traditional Iceland store, The Food Warehouse outlets stock larger pack sizes, bulk-buy options and an expanded selection of frozen, chilled, grocery and household products.
The warehouse-style stores feature wide aisles and spacious layouts designed to make shopping easier while offering customers greater choice and value.

The Bangor opening forms part of Iceland Foods' continued investment in expanding its larger-format retail estate across the UK.
Recruitment is expected to support the launch, with the new store creating additional employment opportunities in the Bangor area.
The Food Warehouse will welcome its first customers when it opens at 8am on Monday, September 8.
