'It is an incredibly proud moment': UK and Ireland law firm hosts landmark client event

UK and Ireland law firm Browne Jacobson hosted its first major client event in Belfast last week, marking a landmark moment in the firm's commitment to building an integrated presence across the island of Ireland.

The evening, held at The Merchant Hotel on Skipper Street on Wednesday night, brought together nearly 300 clients and business leaders from across Northern Ireland and the wider island of Ireland.

It signals the firm's deepening roots in the Northern Irish market following the completion of its combination with Davidson McDonnell in May this year.

The Belfast event underlines Browne Jacobson's strategic ambition to operate as a truly integrated, island-of-Ireland platform.

With established offices in Dublin, launched in 2022, and now a fully operational presence in Belfast, the firm is well positioned to deliver legal services across both jurisdictions, internationally into the EU, and for international clients.

Ross Davidson, partner at Browne Jacobson, said: "It is an incredibly proud moment to welcome our clients and friends to our first Browne Jacobson event in Belfast.

"For our clients across Northern Ireland, this means access to a significantly broader platform: deeper sector expertise, greater geographic reach across the UK, Ireland and beyond, and investment in technology and innovation. Tonight is the first of many such moments, and we are only getting started."

Northern Ireland has seen significant growth in cross-border transactions, foreign direct investment, and major regeneration projects. Browne Jacobson's Belfast presence strengthens its capabilities across its core sectors – including health, financial services, real estate, energy, government, education, and retail -while providing direct access to Northern Ireland's expanding corporate market.

Richard Medd, managing partner at Browne Jacobson, added: "This important event is a demonstration of our commitment to Northern Ireland and to our island of Ireland vision. This market matters for the quality of its legal talent, the sophistication of its commercial activity, and the opportunities that exist for businesses.”
