Farmers For Action call for clarity on road directions to world famous Dark Hedges
Campaign group Farmers for Action (FFA) is calling for clarity on directions to the world famous Dark Hedges at Stranocum.
Representatives from Farmers For Action’s Steering Committee recently met with Department for Infrastructure (DFI) officials to discuss the replacement of ‘Give Way’ signs with ‘Stop’ signs on Northern Ireland rural roads, including the Dark Hedges’ Gracehill Road.

The Dark Hedges became recognised worldwide after its appearance on the global TV hit Game of Thrones.
A spokesperson for FFA said: “The problem being that USA and Canadian visitors take a different meaning from ‘Give Way’ and were crossing the main Gracehill Road.
"Unfortunately, this issue has surfaced again now for a different reason, in that satellite navigation is now telling tourists that the Gracehill Road is not a main road and showing the approach roads as being the main roads.
"FFA are currently looking into this as a very serious issue questioning where else could this be happening in Northern Ireland for unsuspecting tourists.”
