‘Drugs ruin lives and damage communities’ says top cop as man arrested with possession of Class B drugs and counterfeit currency

A man has been arrested after a quantity of suspected cannabis, drug-related paraphernalia and suspected counterfeit cash was seized during a planned search yesterday in Belfast.

Officers from the Black Mountain Neighbourhood Policing Team conducted the pre-planned searched at an address in the Andersonstown Road area.

A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of several offences including possession of a Class B controlled drug, possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply and possession of counterfeit currency.

He was subsequently released on bail pending further enquiries.
