ATM stolen in overnight raid at Co Antrim petrol station

An ATM machine has been stolen and substantial damage caused to a north Antrim petrol station during an overnight burglary.

The incident took place after thieves forced shutters and removed the door of the Priestland Road premises in Bushmills shortly before 2am.

Detective Inspector Stewart from Reactive and Organised Crime has appealed for public assistant in tracking down those responsible.

DI Stewart said: “We believe the burglary occurred shortly before 2am and we are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at around that time and who may have seen a vehicle in the vicinity of the petrol station.

“Witnesses or anyone with information can contact detectives on the non-emergency number 101.”
