Organisers say there will be no tricks, just lots of treats at the popular bar’s final 'Pooch Social' of the year, where guests are encouraged to bring their dogs along in fancy dress.

Meanwhile, organisers say, out in the beer garden, there will be a special doggy fair selling everything from tasty scooby snacks to locally made products and accessories, guaranteed to get your dogs barking with excitement.

And there will be prizes up for grabs for the best dressed pooch.

Owners will enjoy a BBQ and live music from Fiona O’Kane and the Belfast Busking Band.

Tim Herron, general manager of The Dirty Onion, said: "We are looking forward to welcoming our four-legged furry friends and their owners back to The Dirty Onion, for our final Pooch Social of the year. Over 400 guests and their dogs attended the last event and we’re expecting an even bigger turnout at our Halloween special. We can’t wait to see the dogs arrive in their fancy-dress costumes.

“We are proud to be a venue in the city centre that not only welcomes dogs through our doors, but also comes up with fun ways for guests and their pets to have an enjoyable day out.”
