Councillor remains on police bail

Ballycastle independent councillor Padraig McShane confirmed yesterday that he still remains on police bail after being arrested at a July 12 parade and wrestled to the ground by PSNI officers.

He was speaking after the band he confronted - Dervock Young Defenders Flute Band - was forbidden from parading in Rasharkin this Friday by the Parades Commission, which accused it of “perceived provocative conduct” in the July incident.
