Officers seized what was described as “a small quantity of Class B drugs and various drug related paraphernalia” along with a large amount of cash.

Said Newry, Mourne and Down chief inspector Adam Ruston: “One man, aged 31, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of drug related offences, including possession with intent to supply. Following interview, he was released on bail to allow for further enquiries.

“Our officers will continue to protect communities from the harm of illegal drugs. We would appeal to anyone who has information about suspected drugs activity in their area to call us on [non-emergency phone number] 101. Your information could make a difference.”
