Man due in court over city stabbing on Thursday

A man has been charged by police following a stabbing incident in north Belfast on Thursday.

The 40-year-old is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (March 13).

He has been charged with a number of offences including grievous bodily harm with intent.

On Thursday, police said they were investigating a report of a man having been stabbed at a flat in the Antrim Road area around 2pm.

“The man, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries,” a PSNI spokesman said.

“Our enquiries continue and I would appeal to anyone with information to contact us on 101, quoting reference number 898 of 11/03/21,” he added.
