'˜Viable' explosive device made safe after alert
What police described as a '˜viable improvised explosive device' was made safe following a security alert at Blythe Street in south Belfast.
The device, discovered yesterday (Friday, December 30) has been taken away for further examination. Army Technical Officers attended the scene.
No homes were evacuated during the alert which ended last night.
