'We were able to stop this vehicle before damage, injury, or worse': Biker arrested after police chase though Craigavon
A man has been arrested after a high-speed police chase through Criagavon that saw air support called out to track him down.
A PSNI officer said that around noon today, a patrol in the Co Armagh town spotted a motorbike bearing L-plates being driven erratically at a roundabout on Moyraverty Road.

When signalled to stop, the driver sped off – hurtling along streets in a way that officers feared was putting the public at risk, including travelling at more than 50mph on roads with 30mph limits.
Giving chase, the police called out their Air Support Unit to help track the speeding vehicle.
The driver, a 32-year-old man, was found in the Larkfield Meadows area and arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, driving while unfit and failing to stop for police. His vehicle was seized; as of early evening on Tuesday, he was still in custody.
Said Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon local policing sergeant Patterson: “It’s fortunate that traffic in the area was relatively light, or we could have been looking at much more serious consequences this afternoon. We’re grateful that we were able to stop this vehicle before damage, injury, or worse, could be caused.
“Our enquiries are ongoing. We would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the motorbike in the area to contact us using our witness appeal form at https://reporting.psni.police.uk/appeals reference 643 21/07/26.
“We’re especially keen to speak with anyone who might have captured any dash-cam or other footage. You can also call us on [non-emergency phone number] 101.”
