Woman killed in Cookstown road tragedy named as Ann Marshall
A woman killed in a Cookstown road tragedy this morning has been named as Ann Marshall.
From the Moneymore area, she was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident, which happened at approximately 7.30am.

She was one of two people to lose their lives on Northern Ireland’s roads in a little more than 12 hours, as yesterday evening a pedestrian was killed after being hit by a car on the outskirts of Newtownards in Co Down.
Detective Inspector Stewart of the PSNI’s Collision Investigation Unit said the one-vehicle collision in Cookstown involved a red Seat Ateca on Moneymore Road in the Co Tyrone town.
Stated the inspector yesterday evening: “Officers attended the scene together with colleagues from our partner agencies. Tragically, Ann was pronounced deceased at the scene.
“The Moneymore Road, which was closed for a period of time as officers conducted enquiries, has now re-opened.”
A man in his 50s, who has not yet been named, was confirmed dead at the scene of a collision that happened on Kempe Stones Road, Newtownards, shortly before 7pm on Tuesday evening.
The PSNI said the collision involved a car and a male pedestrian, and the pedestrian was pronounced dead.
The police are still investigating the circumstances of both fatalities. They have asked for witnesses to either incident, or people who may have mobile phone or dash-cam footage of the collisions, to get in touch using non-emergency phone number 101.
