24 Holstein bulls catalogued for Kilrea Livestock Market

The pre-sale show is generously sponsored by Genus ABS, and will be judged by Wilson Patton from the Ards Herd based at Newtownards.

Judging commences at 11.00am, and the sale will get underway at noon.

Auctioneer Mark Stewart said: “There are 24 bulls on offer ranging in age from July 2015 to February 2016. They are tested (negative PI) and vaccinated for BVD.”

Herds represented in the catalogue include: Beechview, Deona, Derrydorragh, Glasson, Goldplough, Inch, Killane, Mullagher, Prehen , Relough and Skerryview.

They are sons of leading AI bulls such as Gillette Jordan, Maple Downs IGW Atwood, Pirolio Solemio, Mr Regelcreek Shot Al, Larcrest Commander, Label P, Wiltor Cruise, Ladys Manor Olympic, Gillette Windbrook, Regancrest Altaiota, Lirr Drew Dempsey, Seagull Bay Silver, Coyne Farm Jabir, Ballycairn Cameron Cherokee, Richmond FD EL Bombero, De Su Penley, Boardshop, Prehen Omen, Sandy Valley Pacific and REW Seaver.

Mark Stewart added: ”The catalogue offers something for everyone, with outcross bloodlines, genomic PLI values to £525, and bulls backed by up to 11 generations of VG and EX dams. They are bred from high yielding and high component cow families.
