To date she has seven ribbons but to her great surprise at the AGM recently in Belfast she received from Lady Anthony Hamilton the Dromore Scroll for a new member with highest number of A+, Seapark Salver for best entry by a newly enrolled member, Burnside Trophy for Irish Crochet, and Janet Jones Trophy for another craft not included in the syllabus.

Together with these her institute received the Greenisland Cup for an institute gaining the greatest number of grade A awards in proportion to the number of members during the year.

Not only is she a gifted craftswoman but she entered paintings in various mediums and calligraphy at the arts coffee morning and was a member of the quiz team for her institute.

Lace is her passion but she is willing to challenge herself to learn and enter new crafts ranging from upholstery to leatherwork.
