Gran Fondo cycling race under way

A number of road closures are in place in Belfast and Co Down as the Gran Fondo cycling race takes place.

The event, a legacy of the Giro D’Italia race, started in Belfast at 7am.

It splits into two separate routes - the main one through the Mourne mountains and the other towards Strangford Lough.

Police have said motorists and other travellers can expect some disruption.
