Lowri Davies gains national success
Lowri who was competing for the last time as a YFC member before going over YFC age and hanging up her white coat gained exceptional National success.
Lowri in completing her YFC career said: “Hanging up my white coat after finishing my YFC competing career on a high as National Stockman of the Year. This seemed a distant possibility when I first had a go at this competition at 13 years old and came last but one in the county round.

It will make you richer in a way that money never can, with lifelog skills and friendships. The more you put in to it the more you’ll get out of it. It’s been a blast.”
The competition held at Harper Adams University in September demanded the competitors to judge dairy cows, beef cattle, fat lambs and pigs as well as completing a project set weeks in advance completing a veterinary paper during the weekend.
Lowri Davies joined St Peters YFCs when only 11 years of age and has competed in various YFC competitions during her time as a member.
Presently Lowri is working in Lancashire and is currently a member of the federation.
