PSNI to offer rural crime prevention support and advice at Balmoral Show 2026
The PSNI have said they will be providing advice and support for rural and farming communities at this week’s Balmoral Show.
Northern Ireland’s biggest agricultural event returns to the Eikon Exhibition Centre this week (Wednesday 13th - Saturday 16th May 2026) as thousands of spectators are set to visit.
Organised by the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society, it will feature trade stands and thousands of animals will be on display.
Police say that a host of advice and support for rural and farming communities will be available in the Supporting Safer Communities marquee from a range of Police Service representatives, including Crime Prevention Officers, Neighbourhood Policing Teams and Roads Education Unit.

HR recruitment specialists will also be available for those who want to learn more about a career in policing.
Chief Superintendent Kelly Moore said: “The Balmoral Show is a key date in the calendar for many in our rural and agricultural communities and making sure it is a safe and enjoyable experience for all is a priority for us in the Police Service of Northern Ireland.
“We will be assisting with traffic flow to and from the Eikon to ensure it is as hassle-free as possible, however with very large numbers expected over all four days, those travelling should anticipate that their journey may take longer than usual and leave some extra time to allow for likely delays.
"We’d ask that you help us by being patient, and by driving and parking responsibly. Give due consideration to other road users and pedestrians, and follow the guidance of our officers and parking marshals on the ground, and only park in the designated parking areas.
"Patrons and vendors should also be aware that the use of drones on site is strictly prohibited by the organisers.
"We want everyone attending this year’s show to enjoy a safe and memorable experience. Come along to the Supporting Safer Communities marquee and talk to us to hear more about the work we do to tackle issues which directly impact upon our rural communities – and you may even meet some of our amazing Police Dogs and their handlers.
“We look forward to seeing you there.”
