Dismay over gay bishop

Conservative Anglicans are dismayed that the Bishop of Grantham, Nicholas Chamberlain, has admitted to being in a same-sex relationship, according to London's Independent.

What would have been unthinkable in the Church of England a generation ago--the erosion of Church teachings which Anglicans have embraced for centuries – is now being called into question. Even the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, has joined the fray, saying, “His sexuality is completely irrelevant to his office”.

While the Archbishop of Canterbury is “consumed with horror” at the church’s treatment of homosexuals, conservatives within the Church of England are equally consumed with horror over the teaching of what many believe to be “another gospel.”
