Alex Kane is right again

Alex Kane is excellent as always (His article can be read here: ‘Getting angry has done unionism few favours,’ Jan 18).

He correctly pinpoints a new political species called the ‘scundered unionist’.

I have had the honour of knowing Alex over 40 years from Queen’s days and always admired his take on our political life.

He is right in saying that those people who raised serious concerns about the local implications of Brexit, from the start, were ignored while the local politicians were being so obviously exploited by Westminster.

We all knew what would happen, now it has come to pass, and wonder is it even worth it to seek help within other political parties.
