The hypocrisy of Sammy Wilson with his support of the Conservative government’s anti strike bill beggars belief (January 19, see link below).

He has supported the DUP being on strike since last year and everybody has suffered particularly those seeking medical treatments, operations and appointments.

Maybe he would explain why its perfectly correct for DUP MLAs to get paid for not doing the job the public elected them to do, and them not doing one day strikes but up to the minute a permanent strike.

The Protocol agreed by Boris Johnson and the Conservatives with the support of the DUP is now opposed by the DUP. They are on strike for a deal they agreed with.

You couldn’t make this up.

Now Sammy gets into bed again with the Conservatives albeit with his clothes on and votes in agreement with them. Is this what his constituents would agree with? Stormont is a mess, the health service is a mess and Sammy sides with the party that has caused this, the Conservatives.

Surely he should join the Conservatives and stand as a Conservative candidae in the next election and then he would see why they are rejected by the good people of Northern Ireland.
