The News Letter editorial on Wednesday said: ‘Lockdown has been an entirely appropriate precautionary response to a health crisis’.

Such a definitive statement is sheer hubris.

There have been a number of significantly different approaches to lockdown worldwide – Taiwan, Sweden, USA, France, Italy.

Can we definitively answer that the UK/NI approach was the most appropriate?
