Protect the truly vulnerable without wrecking economy and our families
(‘Ex-school head: Instilling fear in pupils about Covid could be doing them great harm yet the risk to young children is tiny’, by Hugh McCarthy, the News Letter, October 2).
It is absolutely ridiculous the sending home of classes and year groups if one child tests positive.

Hide AdHow can any family without the support of grandparents or other family members (who might not even be allowed to assist) be able to run their economy if they have to come away from their place of work to tend to their children?
We know who the vulnerable are.
Now let’s find away to look after them, rather than wreck our economy and family life.
