Pedestrian hospitalised after being knocked down on NI road

A NI road was closed this morning after a pedestrian was knocked down in a road traffic collision.

Police have issued a statement saying that motorists are being asked to avoid the Tullycullion Road, Dungannon after the incident.

They say the route is “closed following a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian this morning”.

“Diversions are in place. Please seek alternative routes for your journey,” they add.

A PSNI spokesman said the pedestrian was taken to hospital with “non-life threatening injuries”.

The road has since reopened.
