"A ‘Tommy’ soldier silhouette and three poppy wreaths were reported stolen from the Duncastle Road," Police said.
"It is believed the theft occurred at around 1.55am on Wednesday, 15th July. This is being investigated as a sectarian hate crime."
Enquiries are ongoing, and police are asking anyone with any information that can assist with this investigation to contact police at https://reporting.psni.police.uk/appeals quoting 716 of 15/07/26 or phone on 101.
Alternatively, the public can report anonymously on Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or online at http://crimestoppers-uk.org
Police previously confirmed that stolen wreaths from the Diamond in Londonderry on July 1 were also being treated as a sectarian hate crime.
DUP Foyle MLA Julie Middleton said: “Recent attacks on memorials in Foyle, including the damage caused [on Tuesday night] at the memorial in Newbuildings and the theft of wreaths and flags, together with the theft of poppy wreaths from the Diamond, are disgraceful acts carried out by a bigoted minority intent on sowing division.
"Those responsible will not succeed in silencing or marginalising my community. Their actions will not overshadow what has been another peaceful and positive Twelfth, with thousands of people celebrating our history, culture and heritage with pride, dignity and respect.
"I welcome the leadership shown in ensuring the return of the poppy wreaths from the Diamond. That was the right thing to do. My appeal following this recent act of senseless vandalism is for calm and respect for every culture and identity.
"We need positive leadership and respectful engagement within and across our communities to build a better future for Northern Ireland - nothing will be achieved through vandalism or intimidation.
"Those who seek to divide us will never take away from the positive and peaceful celebration of our culture and heritage.”
