Service remembers victims of ferry disaster
The Mayor of Mid and East Antrim Borough Council Billy Ashe was accompanied by William McAllister at a service at the weekend marking the anniversary of the sinking of the MV Princess Victoria.
Mr McAllister – the only living survivor of the disaster which caused the loss of over 130 lives – was a 17-year-old galley boy aboard the ship when tragedy struck on January 31, 1953.
The men are pictured at the Princess Victoria Memorial in Larne.
