Steady trade for cull cows at Markethill

An entry of 130 cull cows at Markethill on Tuesday 23rd February sold in a steady trade.

Beef bred cows from £120 to £133 for 768k at £1020. Top price £1040 for 798k (130). Fleshed Friesians (including IE and non FQA) sold from £90 to £100 per 100 kilos and up to £830 for 850k (98). Second quality friesians from £80 to £87 per 100 kilos and the poorest cows from £55 to £75 per 100 kilos. Aged bulls sold from £95 to £124 for 928k Hereford at £1150.
