Road reopens after horrific images captured aftermath of a one vehicle collision

Police are appealing for information following a one vehicle road traffic collision in Crossgar this morning (Monday, March 1).

Police received a report shortly after 4.45am that a car had collided with a number of parked vehicles on Downpatrick Street.

As a result of this, two men have been taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries.

A PSNI statement says that the road is expected to remain closed for some time and local diversions are in place.

Anyone who was in the area at the time and has any information or dashcam footage should contact police on 101 quoting reference 171 of 1/3/21.

The road finally reopened around 5.45pm.
