Two charged over Easter Lurgan disorder

Two men have been charged by police investigating public disorder in Lurgan on March 28.

The 30-year-old male were arrested on suspicion of affray and obstruction, and 53-year-old man was detained on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, affray and obstruction, police said on Friday.

Both men were questioned at Lurgan PSNI station.

Later in the day, the PSNI said: “Two males aged 30 and 53 have been charged with offences including assault occasioning actual bodily harm and obstruction.

“They are due to appear at Craigavon Magistrates court on May 25.”

The charges follow public disorder in the north Lurgan area on March 28, 2016.
