Weather: Northern Ireland set for windy and wet weather as two warnings are in place
The Met Office has advised that “rain is never too far away” as the province is braced for unpleasant weather this week.
The government agency has already put in place two weather warnings as heavy rain and strong winds are expected.
The first yellow warning is for rain between 12pm to 6pm on Monday for all counties bar Antrim, with a yellow warning then in force for the entirety of Northern Ireland from 2am to 9pm on Tuesday for wind and rain.
With that in mind, it is unsurprising to read that Marco Petagna, operational meteorologist at the Met Office, has urged members of the public to keep rainjackets nearby.

He said: “The main theme for the weather in Northern Ireland for the next few days is wind and rain.
"The weather goes downhill on Monday as wet weather and wind arrives, meaning there is a yellow warning for rain.
"It is set to be a wet afternoon with strong winds and you could see anything from 10-40mm of rain.
"Tuesday follows a similar pattern but the winds are going to be stronger and you could see gusts of 60-70mph, with 40-60mm of rain. A yellow warning for wind and rain is in place.”
Mr Petagna expects the grey skies to continue throughout the week.
"The outlook from Wednesday onwards is still unsettled,” he explained.
"There will be wet and windy weather but not as bad as Monday or Tuesday.
"The one thing I will advise is that the rain will never be too far away in Northern Ireland this week.
“The temperatures from Monday to Friday will be around the 7 or 8°C, which is where they should be for this time of year.”
