Frampton and Quigg will tussle for their IBF and WBA Super-bantamweight titles and ‘The Cobra’ says he thinks it will be a close affair.

“That is a big fight and it is great that the fight has been made. We are also going to find out on February 27 who is the best.

“I really believe it is a 50/so fight and I am going to leave my prediction to fight week - because honestly at this moment in time cannot pick a winner.

“Quigg has looked brilliant recently and is a good fighter

“But Frampton is a great wee fighter, great champion, with fast workrate. I rate him very highly, he is strong and he has a great team behind him with Barry and Shane McGuigan.

“But I will wait to fight week, when I can look into their eyes and then I will pick the winner. At the minute this is a real 50/50 fight,” added Froch.

But another man - former WBA champ Guillermo Rigondeaux - wants to get in on the act.

“Quigg and Frampton are good fighters but I am back and am going to disappear the two of them off the face of the planet when they step in the ring with me. I am coming back to claim all the belts and you can tell Frampton and Quigg - ‘the daddy is back.’”
